Terms of Use — Waitlist & Pre-Launch
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NMBRD website and waitlist onboarding experience (together, the "Service") operated by L. Gautier & Co GmbH – The Numbered Closets ("NMBRD", "we", "us", "our").
By joining the waitlist or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms cover our pre-launch waitlist and onboarding only. Separate terms will apply when membership, payments, and physical Closet access go live.
1. Who we are

The Service lets you join a waitlist and complete a short onboarding flow that generates a personalised style preview.
Joining the waitlist:
- is free and creates no obligation for you or for us;
- does not guarantee membership, access to a physical Closet, or any specific product or feature;
- does not involve any payment. We will never ask for payment to join the waitlist.
We may offer waitlist members the opportunity to become paying members when we launch, on terms communicated at that time.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.
4. Your responsibilities
When using the Service, you agree to:
- provide accurate information about yourself;
- not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms;
- not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that contains other people's personal data without their permission.
We may suspend or remove access if you breach these Terms.
5. The AI assistant and style preview
The Service uses AI to generate style summaries and previews based on your responses. These outputs are:
- for inspiration and entertainment only;
- generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not to your taste;
- not professional styling, financial, or other advice.
You should use your own judgment and not rely on the outputs as a basis for any significant decision.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including the NMBRD name, branding, design, text, software, and the structure of the onboarding experience, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.
The responses and content you submit remain yours. By submitting them, you grant us a licence to use them to operate and improve the Service and to generate your preview, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during this pre-launch phase. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including the waitlist, at any time, without liability to you. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Swiss law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service;
- we are not liable for decisions you make based on AI-generated outputs;
- nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, for unlawful intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury where applicable).
9. Leaving the waitlist
You can leave the waitlist at any time by contacting contact@thenumberedclosets.com or using any unsubscribe link we provide. We will remove you from the waitlist and handle your data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Privacy
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
The courts of Zürich, Switzerland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live that grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product develops. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
